BH finally went away while I was sleeping

They were annoying me so I went to bed early last night after drinking quite a bit of water.  And all over the place, some 2-3 minutes apart and some 7-11 minutes apart.  I got frustrated and gave up counting.  I have another appointment very soon though so I'll talk to the doctor then.

Re: BH finally went away while I was sleeping

  • You can package some up and send them my way. Seriously, I'm like, contraction free. WTF?

Good call on the laying down and water deal. That used to be (back in the day when my uterus still contracted hahha...) the only way I could get rid of them.

Also, sometimes eating something would help. It would be like I was hungry and didn't know it?

  • You can have them!  They were not comfortable last night and she apparently didn't like them either because she wouldn't stop rolling and kicking me when they were happening.  And I was eating until I went to sleep.  I've been really bad this week and eating a ton.  I'm sure that I have to stop eating so much very shortly so I don't surpass my weight gain goal before I even hit 3rd tri.
  • Ok. I am going to start channelling your contrax. hahaha!

Dude! Eat a ton if you wanna! You ain't bad, grrrrrl. hahha! Just eat! My midwife is a crazy nut about that. She's always like, "Pregnant mamas need to eat! All the time!"

Plus, you're nursing. Dude, when I was still nursing at the beginning of my pregnancy, I was a ravenous beast. I was like a pro wrestler on steroids, man. If I came home, and someone got in between me and some food, oh mercy. They'd better duck!

  • Oh my gosh you just made me crack up which made DS start laughing and clapping!

When DS was still only a couple months old I was starving all the time.  We went to a friends house for Christmas and I actually told the dog (a gorgeous, sweet but dumb boxer) that I'd fight her if she stole my food because she was begging from everyone.  DH didn't even steal off my plate but kept loading me up until I was satisfied.

And my OB told me 15 pounds max for weight gain.  So, I have to watch.  Plus, if I get GD again I don't want to get too comfortable eating a lot right now because then I really will starve the last 12 weeks.  I try to stay within calorie guidelines, but it is really hard this week because I feel hungry and nauseous at the same time all day.  But, when she arrives all bets are off for a while since I'll be nursing her and most likely DS!

  • WHAT?! YOUR OB IS LIMITING YOU?! You should kick him/her in the junk! That is just cruel! Seriously, what the heck?

UGH! I remember that starving/nauseus thing. That is the worse part of pregnancy. seriously. Worse than pushing the baby out, worse than Shrek feet, just sucks.

Yeah, um, tandem nursing seems like a calorie fiesta. At least you have that to look forward to!!!

Oh, and I have totally told my dog that, too. "BACK OFF DUDE. THIS IS MAMAS FOOD." He's a hardcore begger. And he's fat. hahaha! So, I deserve it more.

  • I'm not a skinny minnie so I understand the limit.  It's just going to be hard to not gain more than 15 right now because of being so hungry.  I have to go to the produce market though so I can eat and eat and eat.  Especially cold veggies.  Yum!

And I love it about you and your dog.  That's great.  Did he eventually stop begging from you when he realized food wasn't going to 'fall' off your plate?  And I am sending lots of ctx/labor thoughts to you!

  • I'm glad the BH went away last night. That sucks about the calorie restriction but with your history of GD I can understand. Still if you're hungry...eat!
  • Trust me when I say that I am eating....almost non-stop.
  • hahaha, no. The dog is still a beggar. Its horrible now that E is tossing food to him off of the high chair, too! Its just made the whole process worse! He sees the dog, giggles, tosses food. The dog then hangs around even more! Its ridiculous!
