Everyone please make sure you take a moment to reflect on all those who lost their lives 8 years ago today, and for those who continue to risk and lose their lives deployed overseas.
I saved a newspaper too. I will never forget the fear I had that day, I worked in another NYC landmark and everyone thought they were all going to be hit.
My ex-BF and I had a lot of friends in NYC and couldn't get in touch with them all day - several of them had been involved in skating presentations at the WTC the day before, and were supposed to be there again that morning. It was an awful feeling.
Re: 09-11
Thanks for this Totty. Our Service People and their families don't get thanked often enough. And that includes Police Officers and Firefighters.
It's hard to believe that it has been 8 years already. It really does feel like it was not that long ago at all.
I saved the Daily Iowan (U of I paper) to show my kids someday. I don't know if that is weird/morbid.
Will do

I'll always remember. Thank you.
