dislike the term "elder"?

Maybe I'll feel differently when I hit "elder" status. But for now, I just find it a little weird. Stick out tongue

    I'm fine with it.  And being in my 30's, I'm probably an 'elder' on this board for two reasons!

    Its not that I dislike the term so much as it reminds me of the old men at church that were always scowling at the length of my skirt.

    Maybe that's what it is, LOL. I have this vision of heavily pregnant ladies in some kind of formal cloaks or something.

    I'm only 30 weeks but I'm certainly an elder. I'm 36 and on baby #3 (5 total with my 2 step kids)!

    I agree with you, I find it pretty lame. Like people who are 37 or 38 weeks are SO much wiser than those who are 32 weeks. Sure, slightly wiser, but I don't think there needs to be a term for it. Just my humble opinion. :)

    It doesn't bother me, but it's silly.  Especially for the 2+ time moms.  We've kind of been there, done that...whether it's 30 weeks or 38 weeks.  If there's some magical wisdom you gain at 37 wks, then I've been wise for almost 3 years.  :-)
