Tried nursing LO yesterday for 1st time

Elizabeth is only getting 1 feeding a day from a bottle and only takes about 10-14 cc's before we finish with a tube feeding. Yesterday they let me try to nurse her and it went really well. They weighed her beforehand and afterwards and there was no change, but she did latch on and suck some. We will keep trying. I was just so glad to get to try it. She has a really high arch so she has trouble with most nipples so they think she will do better if we nurse which I am all for. Just wanted to share!

Thats great and it is such an amazing experience! It took Ryan a while to get it too. He would latch but not suck for the longest time. It just clicked after a while and we were able to drop the supplementation shortly after coming home. GL!
