Is my baby sick?

Okay, baby is 4 1/2 months and never been sick.  It's 12 in the morning and she just woke up with a REALLY stuffy nose.  I feel like an idiot asking, but she's sick right?  I mean there is no other reason to have a severly stuffed up nose?

We took her temp with one of those artial things (you rub it across her forehead) and it's coming out about 99.4, but she doesn't feel warm AT ALL!

    You need to get a rectal temp. because if she's got a cold and running a fever, you need to call the Pedi. or the Pedi. on call at the hospital.  100.4 or more is serious bizz.  I hope she feels better.  Get some saline drops and put 2-6 drops in her nose and suction it out with a bulb.  She will hate it and probably scream but she'll feel so much better and probably sleep alot better too.

    what does the saline drops do?  We did suction her nose out quite a bit, but she still seems to be a bit stuffy.  "we havve those battery opperated suckers"

    I would use a humidifier as well, just to help decongest her, that is what the saline drops do too, they just loosen everything up so it can drain. My girl got her first runny nose too about 2 weeks ago, and it took over a week to finally go away. But she was fine and we did not have to go to doc! :)
