Pedialyte?

LO has a urinary tract infection and started having diarrhea this afternoon.  Since she hasn't been eating well I am worried she will get dehydrated.  I called the nurse and she mentioned pedialyte, but didn't want to be the one to ok it.  I will call the doc in the morning, but I was wondering if I could give her a little pedialyte tonight.

    I think it would be totally fine to give, I'm just not sure how much to recommend.

    We had to give it to DD this week and she totally hated it!!  We only got about 3 ounces down her.  I don't think it can hurt them, so I would try it now.

    Our DS told us only to give Pedialyte if DS wouldn't take formula - the Pedialyte was to make sure he was hydrated.  That said - DS doesn't like it... after a sip or two he was happy to take the formula.
