Naps for a 1 year old

How many naps in a day? How many hours?

DD sleeps better at night with only one nap in the daytime. But I can tell she's tired. Not sure if its too soon to go to one nap.

    DS does one nap on daycare days, and he is SO wiped out and grumpy by the end of the day. (and by "end of the day," I mean 6:30.)

    On weekends, he'll do 2 or even 3 naps and still STTN, although bedtime might be 30 minutes or an hour later.

    Ds takes one 2-3 hr nap at daycare but during the weekends he will take 2 naps about 1.5-2hrs each.   And still goes to bed at 8 and wakes up between 6-6:30am.

    My DD's not quite 1 - but she takes 2 naps a day.  And those naps are usually between 1-2 naps each.

    Our daycare center is trying to transition her to the toddler room - where they take one 2 hour nap a day.  That scares me - the last time she only took one nap during the day, she woke up screaming 10 times that night and was up from 3-5am...  I think that was molar related pain, but I'm scared that it was caused by only taking 1 nap

    DD usually wakes up around 8am, and takes a nap from about 12-230pm. She is out for the night anywhere between 730 and 8. If she wakes up any earlier she'll take a nap around 10am for about an hour, and push that other nap to around 230-4pm.

    My DS is trying to figure this out right now. Some days he'll take two naps, one around 9:30 to about 11 then out again around2-2:30 to about 3:30 or 4. He always goes to bed at 6:30 or 7 and sleeps 12 hours. When he does the one nap, he goes down around noon or 1 and sleeps for 2 2 1/2 hours. I htink within the next month or two we will be down for only one nap. My pedi told me to try to keep the 2nd nap as long as you can, makes them more rested!

    DS takes a 1 - 1.5 hr nap in the morning and a 0.5 - 1 hr nap in the afternoon. He used to take 2 hrs in the afternoon. It seems the afternoon one is fading.
