Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Feeling sad

Everytime I think about how far along I would have been in my pregnancy, I get really sad.

To make it worse, I am going to visit my IL's this weekend.  They are having some of the family over to see us (we live out of town).  My DH's first cousin's wife is pg with her second child and is due a few weeks before I was. I was looking foward to being pg with her and having our babies close in age.  Now, it is going to be hard to see her.  I know she is showing too!

  • I know what you mean.  I have a friend that is due Oct. 18th and I was due the 17th.  And everytime I see her I just want to run home and cry.  I was supposed to look like that.  When I think about where I was supposed to be it just sets me back, but I can't help it.

  • I'm totally with you.

The crew we tailgate with at ECU football games has one of these.  This girl has only been married a few months (to a guy I went to high school with) and she is the same weeks I should have been.  Should have been just starting my 2nd trimester this week.  It was not easy to be around her at all, because all I could do was look at her belly and think, that should be my belly too.  I'm not sure how I'm going to do this all year and watch her belly grow, knowing mine should have looked liked hers.

I stayed away and drank my Pirate beverage of choice:  Vodka.  Grey Goose.

Should be a good game this weekend!  We can never win up there, so I'm not counting on it.  Maybe we can at least keep it close!

  • Alie-Funny you talk about the WVU vs. ECU game this weekend.  That is why we are going to visit my IL's. They live right outside of Morgantown and we are going to the game!
