Phoenix Babies

New to the area

Hello, I am new to Arizona, specifically Maricopa.  My husband and I are planning on TTC starting in November.  We tried earlier, however we lost the baby when I was 6 weeks along.  That was my first and only pregnancy.  I would like to meet other people who are in the area and who are TTC.  I'm also looking to have a healthier lifestyle and to start exercising more so that once we get pregnant, our baby will have a heathly place to live for 9 months.  Let me know if you are interested!

  • I'm on the other side of the world from you, but I just wanted to say welcome and I'm sorry to hear about the last pregnancy. Good luck TTC later this year, and I'm praying for you that this one sticks!!!!

I would like to chat with you more its nice to see someone else from Maricopa as well Smile

  • Welcome to Arizona!  I hope you're managing the heat okay. My husband and I moved to the Ahwatukee area of Phoenix April 2008. We tried to conceive for almost three years before miracously getting pregnant this past March. Even though I'm currently pregnant, I know what you're going through. So if you have any questions or need any doctor recommendations, let me know.

  • I have actually been looking for a good doctor and good hospital in the area.  Where are you delivering?  Do you have any recommendations for doctors or hospitals?  Let me know, Thanks!  And congratulations on your pregnancy!  When is your due date?

  • Hi Camie,

Because I'm high-risk (due to my age and other things) I see doctors at Phoenix Perinatal Associates. They have several offices throughout the valley; Mesa, downtown Phoenix, Glendale. I'll be delivering at Banner Good Samaritan. But for a regular ob/physicians assistant (I think she's a midwife too) I go to Boojum Obstestrics in Chandler. The ob is Dr. David Kells and the p.a. is Janice Bovee (very nice woman). Their office is right by Chandler Regional Hospital. I would recommend them. I know they have a website so if you google him it will come up.  I have a friend who also goes there.

My due date is Dec. 11th so a few more months to go!

     Take care and best wishes,

    Melissa
