OC Kids Consignment

Have any of you gone to the OC Kids Consignment Sale in Irvine? The end of summer sale starts Oct. 16th-18th, I was curious if it was worth trying to attend...Thanks

Re: OC Kids Consignment

  • I have never been to the OC one, but I did go to the one in LA.  My opinions:

    1. It is really only worth it if you have a pretty young baby and still need things like bouncy chairs, swings and simple toys

    2. If you have an older kid, you can find a ton of clothes there, but probably won't find much else worth buying

    3. Go the first day or else all the good stuff is gone.  If you can volunteer or sell stuff so that you are eligible to shop the presale, that's even better

    4. Lines are long and it is crowded.  The LA one is cash only so bring money with you.  Don't bring your kids as the place is packed and it'll be too hard to shop and keep track of your kids.  Not to mention they will be incredibly bored while waiting in the long line.  In LA, I stood in line for an hour to buy my stuff and that was normal

I'd love to hear from some people that have been to the OC one to know if it's any different.

  • I went to the one in July with SO on the last day just to take a look around. We got a handful of things (Boppy, pregnancy sleeping pillow, bathtub, about 8-10 pieces of clothes) and nearly everything we bought was 50% (due to it being the last day of the sale, consigners have the choice of offering this option). It was well worth it for us and this is just two weeks after my EDD but I plan on going again this time around.
