First Words!

Today the boys have repeatedly used the sounds Wow-wee, Wow, Uh-oh when throwing their spoons on the floor, and Evan said Ball (came out like Bah but he was very specific and only used the word when holding a ball or when I was holding a ball). Evan also said the words Bain-Bain several times today which in "baby" French is the term for Bath.

We've been working on saying words slowly, talking out loud about everything we/they do, and asking them to say them too. It's so much fun to finally see them look at what you're saying and mouth like they're trying the motions out and you just know the wheels are spinning in their head saying, "How am I going to say this like Mommy?"

Ummm.... Yeah. These kids are amazing!!!

YAYAYAY!!!

Robbie's DT today said language follows gross motor, so after a gross motor expansion, usually a language expansion will follow. Looks like your boys got the memo!

(BTW, I totally have been telling everyone about your boys and their incredible progression these last few weeks. Everyone is blown away.)

That's great! From this and some of your other posts, it sounds like the boys are making lots of progress. So glad that things are going better for all of you!
