STTN sleep pattern ?s

I know this is probably asked a lot but I'm not on here a lot to see Q&A's.  When you LO started sttn did their waking and sleeping in the middle of the night change, were there nap lessening. I'm so desperately awaiting the night that my LO will sttn, it almost been 6 mos, I know something has to change, I really don't want to go through CIO if I don't have to. The first 3 mos were all crying from my LO, colic. Any in sight would be greatly appreciated.

    Well, we did Ferber at 5 months - so my answers might not help very much.  But after Ferber DS started sleeping 8-5, waking to eat, and then sleeping 'til 9.  He gradually worked out of that pattern, sleeping longer in the morning until a couple weeks ago when he started STTN - totally without warning.  His naps didn't change at all.

    DS was also colic-y and I'd had enough crying, but Ferber saved our life as far as sleeping goes... and without a lot of crying!

    DD slept through the night at 11 weeks.  Has only awoken once in the middle of the night since then.

    She took significantly less naps during the day since STTN.
