Seriously everything I eat gives me heartburn-- this is the worst feeling. Not sure how I am going to make it through the next 15 weeks if this keeps up. Anyone else dealing with constant heartburn? How do you deal??
I woke up at 3:30 this morning with what I think is heartburn (never had it before so it's hard to say) and I've had it ALL DAY!! It's driving me crazy. I've tried Tums with no luck. It was really bad around 5:30 but for the most part it comes and goes...hasn't gone away, just gets a little less painful. I never knew you could have heartburn all day. This sucks!!!!
Been getting it a lot lately. It's easy to get it while pg. I tend to just avoid foods that make it worse, greasy stuff, acidy stuff like tomato sauce, etc. But that doesn't always work. Pretty sure tums is ok to take, although I haven't gotten to that point yet. I've also heard that eating papaya can help a lot.
YES! I feel like I am on the verge of throwing up acid half the time. I have given up trying to figure out what does it- it seems to be random and OFTEN! I drink milk and eat tums but I don't really think anything helps that much...besides giving birth...

Me! Last night it was so bad it had me in tears!!!! It's awful. I've been on Zantac 75 for 15 days and since it's not helping I'm moving up to the 150. I hope to find some relief because I can NOT stand the idea of sleeping in an upright position for the next 16 weeks!
Me! I have heartburn almost daily. Some days I just deal with it, but the days it is really bad, I take Pepcid. It works almost instantly for me and works all day.
Someone told me yesterday that an OWT is that lots of heartburn means the baby will have a lot of hair. We'll see....
i get it from everything! even milk and bread! it's TERRIBLE. i had an ob midwife tell me that i could take prilosec. one night, i woke up in the middle of the night with it so bad that i threw up all acid and i cried for like 30 minutes it hurt so bad. i fell asleep sitting up, hunched over bc it was the only position that i didn't feel pain. of course the next morning i was sore all over. i took a prilosec that morning and didn't have heartburn all day! the NEXT day i had it again, so i took it again, and it went away.
but i'd ask your ob just to be sure about it. i have heard that you aren't supposed to take those types of medicines b/c there haven't been enough studies on it, but she said it was fine for me.

I have worked in a hospital for over three years now and I have yet to have a patient that this wasn't true for!! Every single one that had really bad heartburn had a baby with a head full of hair!! So I believe this OWT!
Re: Constant heartburn-- Anyone else?
::raises hand::
I've had hellacious heartburn since before my BFP. The past few weeks I've had to start sleeping at a 45 degree angle just so I can fall asleep.
