I am a big fan of designer jeans...they are my weakness. I don't have many pairs and I take extra good care of them so that they last for a long time. I even have a hard time trying on jeans from stores I used to go to all the time for jeans (Banana Republic, Gap, etc.), even though I still shop there for most of wardrobe. I really don't want to sound uppity but does anyone have any good places that I could get cute maternity jeans? I talked to DH about maybe getting ONE pair of designer jeans, and he said "no way, you'll only wear them for a few months anyways" which I completely agree with, it will only be temporary. I just thought I would broach the subject with him, just in case. He feels bad that I've been sick and has been very good to me lately. Anyways, I need some jeans and need some guidance. I looked on Ebay, but I'm a tall girl and most of the jeans on Ebay are too short for me- plus, I've ordered from Ebay before and didn't like what I got when I actually recieved it.
With that said...I'm open to anywhere and anystore...as long as the denim is nice and they don't cost a fortune. Any ideas?
Re: designer maternity jeans...not going to happen
If you like them that much, and plan on getting pregnant again, I would invest in a nice pair of designer maternity jeans! Check out Pea in a Pod's website.
Otherwise, the only maternity jeans I used in my last pregnancy, and again this time, are the Gap long and leans. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
DO IT!
I put on my Joes or my TR and I feel like a million bucks! Plus you can wear them for a little while after you deliver, do it...do it...do it!!!

I bought Maternity jeans from Gap- the long and lean and honestly, I think they are great jeans. I also like designer jeans but wear alot of the long and leans for more every day use. They arent really that cheap though, the pair I got was 69.50.
If your husband will give in to the designer jeans, try Nordstrom. I did try one a few pairs there but I couldnt justify the cost.
I agree. I have a pair of Citizens maternity jeans that I wore until the very end of my first pregnancy. I'm happily wearing them again, and so I definitely feel like I've gotten my money's worth.
I'm not going to get designer maternity jeans. I'm going to wear my Seven's with a band a long as I can. I had two girlfriends wear their prepregnancy jeans to the end.
Also, remember you will probably still be in maternity for a little while after giving birth so it may be longer than just a few months.
If you have any small upscale maternity boutiques near you I would check those out. I bought Paige Premium marked down to 135 from 200. They are nice and long so I can wear them with heels.
The other jeans I bought were casual Old Navy ones to wear with flat shoes. I've tried on jeans from Motherhood, Kohl's and Target and they all looked awful on me. Like some previous posters said, I've heard lots of good things about Gap Long and Lean jeans. GL!
You could always wear them for your next pregnancy. Or if this is your last/only child, you can always try to sell them when you are through to make back a bit of the money.
