Daycare on a Budget

Does anyone have good resources for reasonably priced daycare?  I think home daycare might be the most affordable for us and will give us the "family/homey" care we are looking for.  Any thoughts?  Also...any websites where licensed MN daycare providers are listed?  Looking anywhere along highway 36 -  Stillwater, Maplewood, Roseville.

Thanks for your help!

Re: Daycare on a Budget

  • I have been using MnChildCare.org for my search
  • Loading the player...
  • you can always check your local county website where they have listings for childcare in your area
  • I also used the link already posted to find a daycare.  Our front runner right now is Creative Kids Academy.  We're looking at the Lexington location and were really impressed.  I know that they have a location in Roseville as well.  We're paying $250/week for an infant.  That's about $60 less than the next closest price center.

  • I think if your looking for family child care you should find something between $175 and $200 per week.  You can also check resourcesforchildcare.org there is a number you can call to get child care referrals for the area you are searching.
  • try your county's website.   Chisago county lists licensed in home providers.   Then start calling-the sooner the better.   we have lucked out with our in-home day care..with flexibility, price etc.   good luck!

i think the state has a list of daycare providers too-but the county would cut it down for you.
