If your LO was baptized, did you give the church or priest a separate donation/monetary gift? If so, how much and did you just hand it to the priest in an envelope? In a card?
We are not members at the church we used, but we did get married there, so the service was done by the same Pastor as our wedding. They did not "charge" us for the baptism, so I was more generous with our donation because of that. If they had charged us anything, it would have been less. And, if we were members of the church, probably would have been less since we'd probably be making regular donations.
Anyway, we ended up donating $50.00 to the church. I sent it after the fact with a thank you card to the pastor.
It was recommended we give a donation to the church. We put it in an envelope. I don't remember how much we gave...I think $100 or $200. We hadn't donated lately so I was okay with a higher amount.
