I think DH is mad about PG dog... (little long)

I thought she was before now im 90% sure she is GREAT! I told DH I am going to make a appt to get tyson fixed so this doesnt happen again and well have to deal with getting libby fixed after the puppies come.  He wants to "take care of it" and im having a problem with it.... I know she is a dog and we as her owners need to do whats best for her but who are we to say she doesnt know she has puppies in her and loves them already  (I know that sounds so dumb I guess its just my loses talking I cant bring myself to take her babies away even if she doesnt even know they are there!)

I told DH Im going to call the vet and see if they think it will be safe for libby to have the puppies she is a chihauhua terrier mix and tyson is a boxer, thats what we were told when we got him but now we think mom was a boxer and dad was a black lab and thats how they could pass the puppies off black boxers.....

We got both dogs for free but have been paying out the a$$ for all their needs (duh I dont know how DH tought we wouldnt) well I dont know how much it will be for libby to see the vet to find out if she is for sure and if this is a real pregnancy and not a fake one, how many she has in there and if she can have them and still live after.  Its going to be about 170 to get tyson fixed I know that much and DH isnt happy about it O well we should have got him fixed when we first got him!! I know we werent planning on getting another dog let alone a girl one but (this is his favorite saying) "it is what it is" we cant change it now so your just gonna have to deal!!!

    ok a few things.  as you know we had an oops pg here at my house too.  you can have an abortion for the puppies, but i don't think i could do that.  if you want to know how many are in there you can have your vet do an x-ray and then they count the spines.  you can also schedule a c-section for her and then you don't have to worry about her trying to give birth.  obviously your vet knows best, maybe you can ask sinisterkat, she's a vet. 

    oh and it's funny because my dog that just had puppies is a chihuahua and we have a dog named tyson that is a boxer mix.  he was not her baby daddy, but the similarities between us are funny.

    Just because I think it's funny (and sorta relevant) - a pic of my dog Zoey. It was her 'woman's time' she ripped her diaper and we didn't have any replacements with us. So yeah, we duct taped it to her... oh the indignity.

    Yeah Im having a hard time with the idea of killing her puppies DH has no problem with it.... its cuz he is a a$$hole lol not really I just got mad that that was his first thought

    I called the vet and they said its 47 for the visit 93 for a u/s but we might not need one.  if the vet says she isnt KU they can spay her for 125 plus any shots she isnt up on, we got her from DH nephew so not sure what she isnt up on gotta call him and get her papers.... we have only had her since june..... if she is KU its the 125 + shots + 30 for what im calling a PG fee lol 

     we ARE going to get tyson fixed and libby too if she is to far along to get spaied now.  They said they wont do it if she is to far along and well have to wait till after the puppies are born and if there are to many and are to big we can do a C section great how much is that the lady laughed Tongue Tied so I take it its not cheap?!?!?

    how funny about our tysons!!! did you name him after mike tyson?? We just got him and we couldnt think of a name we put him down in his bed and he started biting the sh!t out of it DH and I looked at eachother and said TYSON!!!!!!! LOL yes we wanted to know our boxer after a boxer cheesy I know

    we did that too!!!! but they just fell off her little body I almost went and got some new born ones so they would fit better!! lol

    Oh, and when you get Libby fixed, you can go to spayUSA.org and get a $100 voucher towards the cost of getting her fixed. The amount may vary and it has to be done with participating vets, but that's the discount we received when we got Zoey fixed.

    Who cares how expensive it is - take her to the vet and make sure she will be ok.  You'll feel a lot worse if she dies from a uterine rupture or during the birth.

    If you really can't afford to care for her properly - you can find a no-kill shelter or a foster family who will care for her.

    This is sad.

     

     

     

    yes I lock my dog in a box and kick it down stairs really??? I never said I dont take care of her My DH is cheap he doesnt like spending money how he thought we could get two dogs and never spend a penny I have no idea we are going to get them fixed should we have got them fixed sooner yeah do I wish I would have and saved this headache yeah can I go back in time and make sure this didnt happen no sorry I pissed you off with my "sad" story

    THANK YOU!!!! Im going to that site right now so Ill be ready for her appt on monday and see if the vet will take it if not I will find one who will that will really help with DH b!tching Big Smile

    O and softskate31 just so you know we took libby in when DH nephew and his family didnt want her any more I dont know what they were going to do with her if we didnt take her

    thank you for the website!! the vet I made the appt with isnt on the list but Im going to keep the appt with them to check her out and then when its time to get her fixed go with one for that site WAY cheaper!!! thanks again!!!

    Okay, so I have a favor to ask, but I can't think of a way to ask it without coming off like a major douchebag.  Who knows, maybe it's a douchey request.  Would you mind using a little more punctuation?  I find that with your posts I often have trouble knowing where one sentence ends and the other begins.  And I hate that because I love your personality and would like to know what you have to say!  I was debating on whether or not to PM my request to you.  I don't want to cause any embarassment.  Or maybe you're actually busy during the day.  But then I thought, "What if I'm the only anal one who cares?  Why should she have to change the whole way she writes just for me?"  So if I'm being ridiculous, please let me know.  But I really do ask because I like you. Smile

    Not a douchebag I know I have a bad habit of it.  Even with handwritten stuff in school my teachers would always take points off things bc of it Embarrassed I will try I promise Smile Sometimes I just get caught up in what Im typing I forget that you need the . , buttons so people understand what your saying. lol I get where your coming from im not mad, or embarassed. Sometimes I go back thru and fix it other times I forget and just hit post.

    Also Im sure your not the only one.  Ive seen people post how they hate when someone doesnt use the right punctuation, part of me was like "OMG are they talking about me??" The other part was "O well they didnt say my name" lol  Your just the first person to call me out on it.  Im sure there are a couple people out there who thought "FINALLY someone said something" Big Smile

      I dont have any pics of my fur babies on my work computer, but when I get home Ill post some.  The puppies are either going to be super cute or super ugly.  Lol
