  I love Savannah! I have been several times. Last time I went it was with a big group of people and we rented a townhouse to stay in, but I think I have stayed at a Hampton Inn there that was decent and within walking distance of everything. It had a rooftop pool too!

  I don't have specific restaurant recommendations but definitely do a ghost walk while you are there. There is a fun piano bar if you are into that. And Paula Deen has a restaurant there that people rave about but I didn't feel like waiting in line to get on the list last time I was there...have fun!

  Hampton Inn on Bay Street is the perfect location. Its right across from River St where all the 'action' is at. And the trollys stop right at the hotel if you do a hop on/hop off tour. Paula Deens is good - if you are there on a weekday the wait isn't as bad. I suggest Rics on the River - we went for lunch, its cheaper that way but the food is to.die.for. We also went out to Paulas brothers place - uncle bubba oyster shack. Great seafood!!!! This is where they film paulas party! I suggest a hop on/hop off tour to see all the sights. Well worth the money. I'd get a two day pass and use it as transportation on the second day if you want to get to another part of the historic district. Its fun getting different drivers too - they all have their own stories. We did the bus ghost tour that takes you into a haunted house....biggest rip off in savannah! Have fun I love savannah!!!
