What do you do when DC cries in the car? I can't really try to give DS his paci or anything for safety reasons. I also feed & change him before going out. I just feel so bad when he is crying and I can't do anything. Thoughts?
Thx.
Usually I just let him CIO in the car. It sucks, but what am I supposed to do, stop every 2.2 seconds? I lower his window a bit and let the noise soothe him. Sometimes I put the radio up to drown him out. After about 10 minutes or so, he stops.
My DS just recently started crying in the car. Before, he loved it and would sleep. I am now trying to figure this out myself. I try putting the paci in before we leave, making sure he is comfortable, and talking to him while I drive. I am curious what others do, as I need all the ideas I can get!
My LO typically sleeps in the car...but sometimes he cries b/c his paci fell out of his mouth (if DH is driving I sit in back with LO - unless he's asleep when getting into the car)....or he also cries when the sun hits his face ...so make sure the sun blocker thing is down on the car seat...that helps.

This exactly - my usual daily travel is 20 minutes tops a trip - so if he has to CIO - it's not that long. Pulling over and stopping would only drag out the CIO longer, because all he wants is to be held - yes, he might be spoiled a little (ok - maybe alot - but I don't care!)
I usually just let her CIO until we get home. I feel awful but will just turn up the radio to drown her out and sometimes it even soothes her. If DH is driving then I jump in the back with her.
