If you BF and baby sleeps through the night...

DD is sleeping 3-6 hour stretches at night, but I can't make it past 4&/12 hours before I wake up engorged & leaking. What do you do? Wake baby to feed? Pump in the middle of the night? Suffer?

I'm scared to just suffer because I've already had one round of mastitis.

    I just finished pumping. My baby is only one week and she sleeps from 12-6. I had to get up at 4 to relieve my breast. I don't pump too long only for 10 minutes incase she wakes up.. This is my second night pumping. I am not sure if she will continue to sleep through the night. I was waking her up but my dr said to let her sleep at night. 

    I feel so much better.

    I just finished pumping b/c this very thing happened this morning.  Ahhh...the relief, LOL!

    When DS started sleeping through the night I would get up and pump some.  Now my body has adjusted and I just have to pump as soon as I get to work in the mornings.

    I suffer. I wake up soaked and freezing.

    I'd pump just enough to relieve the pressure so you don't get mastitis and so your supply adjusts.
