My LO has been fussy the past three nights between 3-6ish am. He doesn't cry, but kicks his legs out straight, grunts, and makes faces. I pump his legs and do the I love you massage on his belly and he toooots like crazy for several minutes! Then he settles down and goes back to sleep. I realized each night it happened I have had either milk or ice cream shortly before bed. I nurse him twice after that during the night, and after his second feeding is when he gets gassy. I wonder if LO is sensitive to cow's milk? I am lactose intolerant and was very sensitive to milk as an infant/child, but I drink lactose-free milk and a bit of ice cream doesn't bother me now so I still eat that. I eat dairy, just can't drink straight-up cow's milk.
Anyway, today I stayed away from dairy completely and it was SO difficult! I want to see if LO is gassy again tonight. If he is, I don't know what else to take away. :P
WDYT? Anyone else have a suggestions/remedies for gassy baby in the middle of the night?
