Moms who need to get out of the house on time

What do you do with your inquisitive 13 month old while you shower in the morning?  The bouncy seat was working until her highness decided to climb out of it... while buckled in.  Suggestions?

Thanks!

  • try the pack-n-play or exersaucer and a children's video.

  • Toddler proofed the bedroom and bathroom, gave him some books, his blanket, and a few toys, and let him run between the bedroom and the bathroom while I'm showering.

He'd never put up with being in a PNP.

  • I have a box of upstairs toys.  I bring out the box and let her play in the bathroom with me with the door closed when I shower.  It has worked like a charm for over a year.  I think it is because the toys are "novel" and she doesn't see them everyday.

  • I used to put DD in the shower with me. I'd put some toys in there and wash her in the shower so then I wouldn't have to give her a bath. Now that I have two I shower at night or get up before they wake up.

  • Thank you!  I feel kind of naughty just letting her play in the bathroom while I shower, but I can't think of anything else.
  • I shower at night since I get up at 5:30 as it is. Then I try to get ready before all the troops wake up.
  • I shower at night and just do a super quick 10-15 minute, brush my hair, teeth, get dressed and do my makeup while he drinks a bottle and eats some puffs in his high chair.
  • When I have the kids alone and DH is out of town, I just put toddler in the tub with me while I shower - with plenty of toys.
