Ryan Update and Thank You

Thank you for all of the thought and prayers yesterday. It seems like they helped bc he is doing better and it looks like we will be able to treat him at home unless things change and he turns for the worse. Right now he is on an antibiotic for the pneumonia, oral steroids 2x per day and getting breathing treatments every 4 hours. It seems to be helping. He is not struggling to breathe like he was yesterday but still has rapid breathing especially when he is awake. His cough sounds worse than yesterday but seems to be productive so that is good. He slept so much better last night as well. We had to wake him to do the breathing treatments which was much better than him waking every 15 minutes the night before because he could not breathe.

We are not out of the woods yet but we are just so happy we do not have to admit him right now and he does seem to be healing. It is just a reminder that our little miracles are so strong and brave but something as small as a cold can hit so hard because of their lung development. We will be getting more strict on germ control since we have become lax lately. This was a wake up call! Thanks again.

I am glad to hear he didn't have to be admitted. I know I am done with hospitals myself and we still have some time left there lol. I hope he continues to improve and gets back to feeling better sooner rather than later!

I'm so glad he is feeling better. ?It is scary how quickly it took over. ?Makes me think we will be getting the swine flu vaccine afterall if it is offered to us. I'm not sure how Keira's lungs would fare.
