Holy fvcking constipation (tmi)

DS started solids recently. All last night he was up crying though he was visibly exhausted, so we figured okay 4 month wakeful.

 

We gave him a suppository and holy god. It was like rocks or sticks coming out. His booty BLED and he screamed and I cried. I gave him a warm bath and some Tylenol to help with the pain. 

 

How can I avoid this in the future when he takes solids? :- /

    My DD has been going through that for over a month now.  Every time she tries to go she screams in pain and what a different cry it is compared to the usual.  I have done so many supositories its not even funny!

    I hate it but when she is trying to go and she is crying cause it hurts i pick her up and let her lay on me tummy down.  She seems more relaxed to go.
