I just want to thank you times a million for your new breastfeeding positioning tip you posted yesterday!
DS has been using a nipple shield since week 1 due to problems latching, one flat nipple, and a hyperactive letdown, and even with the shield it's been rough. We have been trying to wean from the shield, with no success.
Today I tried your tip, and was able to not only get him to latch on both sides, but he ate in less time and seemed much more satisfied! He has already done it twice....THANK YOU!!!!
Only one question, where are your hands positioned when you are feeding? I feel like I have my arms and hands in the wrong place, even though he is eating well.
Re: HeyyRed
Here is a link to the post, and there is also a link to a video in there. I still can't believe it worked.

ah yes, I was taught this by the lactation consultant at the hospital, and it really does work very well.
Also, it's best to do it skin-to-skin, so take the baby's shirt off/open it up so that his/her chest is touching yours.
