my DS is up every 3 hrs on the dot at night wanting to eat. and that is 3 hrs from when he starts eating, so really only sleeping in about 2.5 hr stretches. it's soooo frustrating and i'm TIRED!
anyone else? ideas?? i'm going to ask the pedi at his 4 mo appt....
Re: 13.5 weeks and still up every 3 hrs at night?

We're sort of similar....DS eats at 7:30, in bed at 8. Then eats at 11, 2, 5 and i have to get him up for the day at 6:30. i wish he would only eat one time between 8-6!

I still have the same problem - my pediatrician recommending feeding him more before bedtime - but since I am nursing - I let him nurse until he falls to sleep - it hasn't changed anything yet.
We have started cereal now - I am thinking about trying that close to bedtime - but I really don't think that is going to make a difference though!
I EBF too and my DS STTN. Dont give cereal or formula to try and get your LO to STTN. It wont help. They will do it when they are ready. GL!
i doubt you can get your one month old to drink an entire bottle of formula. and if you can, she will probably just throw it up. bad idea and it probably wont help.
At around that age, DS was waking up about 2x through the night, sometimes 3x. Like pp said, formula and cereal won't really help. IMO, babies will STTN when they're ready. After his 4 month wakeful stage, he started STTN 10 hours straight for a week. We gave him cereal at 5 months and that didn't change anything. DS STTN off and on now anywhere from 5-10 hours straight and we don't do anything different to get longer stretches out of him.
I recommend trying to soothe/rock him back to sleep when he wakes up instead of offering to feed him right away. If he doesn't fall back asleep, you know he is hungry and of course he needs to eat. If he does fall asleep, you know he's just waking up out of habit and needs to learn to self-soothe. Growth spurts are typical at 3 weeks so just try to be patient, he will outgrow this!
This. Try soothing back to sleep. I don't know if you use a pacifier or not, but offer the paci to see if they just woke up or if they really need food.
