Introducing Myself

I figured I would drop in and introduce myself.  Some faces here are familiar from the tri boards.

I had DD on Wed. 9/2 at 36w 3d due to a possible incision rupture from a previous c-section.  She was a good size.  Almost to the point I don't know if many of you would really consider her a preemie.  She was 6lbs. 9ozs. and 19 1/2 inches long.  

She is currently still in the NICU and I hope and pray that she is home with us soon.

    Incision rupture? ?That sounds scary! ?I hope you are ok. ?Giving birth when you least expect it and under stressful circumstances is difficult no matter what the gestational age. ?I hope you and your LO are ok and home soon. ?Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl!

    Anything before 37w is a preemie, no matter how chunky they may be. And the fact that she's in the NICU.. well, you're a preemie momma in my book.

    I'm sorry she's there. I hope her stay is very short and you get to bring her home soon.

    I don't know that I've met (IRL or here) anyone who had an incision rupture. That's terrifying. How did you know it was happening?

    You are welcome to join us here although I am sorry you have to.  We have some moms of preemies here who spent no time in the NICU but struggle with lasting preemie issues.  We also have other mommas like you and I who had babies closer to term that shocked us by ending up in the NICU.  My baby was misdated and we thought he was 37 weeks but when he was born the pedi said he had various markers showing he was younger and only 36 at the most.  He had RDS and was vented so I have found this board to be a great support group of women who "get" it and can help you thought the tough times bc someone on here has been there too.  Welcome and congrats.
