I am so depressed. I have stretch marks on my butt and on the back of my leg. What can I use if anything? I bought this cellulose lotion and I am going to call the dr. to make sure I can use it. Did your stretch marks go away after you gave brith and what did you do to decrease or get rid of them? Also when will I be able to start exercising again after a vaginal deliver? I am so upset about this... and I really wanted to enjoy the end of my pregnancy.

Re: who got stretch marks during pregnancy?
Stretch marks are causing you to not enjoy your pregnancy?
"It's a child, not a cheeto" Thanks mmariluh!
"Ew. I've read all of two posts from you, and you stink like rotting garbage."
No, I am enjoying the pregnancy, but with all the other symptoms I am having in the third trimester (not feeling well, tired, feet hurting, hot all time, now stretch marks) I am just so ready to feel like myself again. Sorry if you can't understand that or if I offended you, but that is how I am feeling and this is what these boards should be about. Oviously, I am very excited about being pregnant and I want my girl to be healthy over anything else. I was really hoping someone had a story for me that would help lift my spirits.
I got a TON of stretch marks and sadly they are here to stay. they lighten up after a while but they will always be there. You can put all the creams and lotions on them that you want but I dont't hink there is really anything you can do to get rid of them or prevent them. I used the belly butter on my belly EVERY NIGHT and it still looks like a tiger attacked me.
I know it's hard to accept the changes your body goes through. I was sooooo embarrassed by my stretch marks but DH was really sweet and just called them "love marks". My bikini days are over (even if I had the body to do it) but I don't care because I can look at my daughter and know that there is a lot more to life than a few marks on my body.
As far as the exercising - I had a c-section but I was taking short walks about a week afterwards (as soon as the friggin staples came out)
I got stretch marks on my BB after birth from BF. I am still BF so I can't help you with what woill help them go away. But after I stop I think I will try miderma or something like that.

Yes. I got a few on my hips early 3rd tri....then around 33 weeks or so the belly ones appeared....big huge freddy krueger marks on the underside of my belly.
There is little you can do, its genetic. I used some lotion all along, but it didn't do much. After about 6 months or so they faded from purple to white...now I don't think ppl notice them much unless I point them out, but I got pretty bad ones...really the only thing that makes them go away is time. FWIW - DH calls them my mommy tattoos, I try to think of it that way.
I had a C-section, so I can't comment on the exercise thing.

I got a few on my hips and butt during my 2nd tri with DS.
The ones on my butt totally disappeared, and the thigh ones are considerably lighter (so much so that I was comfortable wearing a bikini before I got pregnant again!) ?I didn't use anything at all, I tend to think most stretch mark creams are a hoax.
I had a c/s, but I was able to start exercising lightly within 2-3 weeks.?
(read it. you know you want to.)

I like to think of mine as battle scars... a way to remember how my beautiful baby came into the world... through me
They're definitely worth it and I try to wear mine proudly (even though it's hard to when you're still 10 pounds over your pre-pg weight and need to loose an additional 40). Mine have lightened a little bit and I'm sure they'll lighten up even more with time.
Just remember that those stretch marks are markers to show that LO is growing (if you get some on your butt I don't know what you can blame that on...).
I was able to start working out 6 weeks pp after my vag delivery. GL!
This....and my DH is a plastic surgeon, even though he has access to all the so called creams/serums/strips...stretch marks wont completely go away (just lighten up)
I too had a csection and would have had the all clear to work out at 6 wks, but then broke my foot (stress fracture)...so all I can do is take short strolls before I have to sit back down.
I have a ton of stretch marks all across my stomach - no more bikinis for me! I also have some loose skin so all in all it looks like a saggy, baggy, elephant butt. I haven't done anything to make them go away because I've heard that nothing but time really works.
I started walking about 2 weeks pp and working out hard 6 weeks pp. It really depends on how difficult your delivery was.
