QOTW:

1a) Do you have (or will you have) a Birth Plan to follow for your delivery?

1b) If this is your second child, do you have a plan for what you'll do with DC#1 when you go into labor?

2)  Updates? How are you feeling? Anything you're looking forward to this week?

  • 1a) Do you have (or will you have) a Birth Plan to follow for your delivery?

I guess not an officially one per se. I know i want an epi, that LO will be circumcised, and that we are planning to BF, but that's about as far as we've gotten.

1b) If this is your second child, do you have a plan for what you'll do with DC#1 when you go into labor?

This is our first, but we still have to figure out what to do about our dogs unless my mom is here.

    2)  Updates? How are you feeling? Anything you're looking forward to this week?

Things have been going really well. I noticed the belly starting to extend around and my back has been starting the "pg arch".

I am getting rather annoyed by people saying that my bump is small for 6 months. And my mom congratulating me on not having gained any weight. I'm certainly not trying to NOT to gain weight! I worry about LO being small. But the Dr. said everything looks great and that LO is growing right on target. They've even moved the date from 12/24 to 12/21 based on his size and development.

  • 1a) Do you have (or will you have) a Birth Plan to follow for your delivery?

We did fill out The Bump Birth Plan and we had one from the hospital that is a little more simple that I think I'm gonna switch to. But like I've heard...a lot of the time the birth plan goes out the window because of various circumstances

1b) If this is your second child, do you have a plan for what you'll do with DC#1 when you go into labor?

First "child" but we're having my BIL come over to stay at our house and watch our dog.

    2)  Updates? How are you feeling? Anything you're looking forward to this week?

I'm ready to have this baby! haha. We're having our first internal this week so I'm pretty excited to see if we've made any progress. I think I'll be very upset if at the end of 38 weeks nothing has happened! lol

  • 1a) Do you have (or will you have) a Birth Plan to follow for your delivery?

We're waiting a few more weeks to write ours, but we already know what we want and it will be pretty basic. I'm not going to do a detailed plan. From my mom's 15 years of experience, usually those with detailed plans usually end up having to throw them all away anyway. I think that we'll go in to it with the major decisions made, but IMO it should be more based upon whats best for the baby and me when the time comes.

1b) If this is your second child, do you have a plan for what you'll do with DC#1 when you go into labor?

First child, but do need to figure out who will watch the pets.

     2)  Updates? How are you feeling? Anything you're looking forward to this week?

Still feeling pretty good, although I have moments of cramping. Still trying to not to do much so that I can keep on working. Our next ultrasound (#6, didn't think we'd ever have this many!) is Sept 25th and they'll check my amnio fluid levels then. In the meantime, all of our furniture is in and we're picking it up Friday. Can't wait to get moving on setting the nursery up! And, the mattress that was supposed to be back ordered 4-6 wks already came in so we've been airing it out!

  • Welcome dy14daze2!

  • 1a) Do you have (or will you have) a Birth Plan to follow for your delivery? No- you just never know what's going to happen! With DD#1 I didn't really have a plan, but knew that I wanted to have an epi and wanted non-separation. Neither of those things happend! Things progressed so quickly that there was no time for an epi and she was 6 weeks arly, so she had to be in the NICU. So, no set plan for us... we'll just go with the flow :-)

1b) If this is your second child, do you have a plan for what you'll do with DC#1 when you go into labor? We don't really have a set plan for this yet. None of our family is real close (about an hour away), so we have a friend who will come stay with DD as soon as we need her. She will stay until any family arrives (whether it's my mom, dad or IL's). So again, I guess we're just gonna go with the flow!

    2)  Updates? How are you feeling? Anything you're looking forward to this week? I had another u/s last week... they wanted to check the blood flow through the cord. Unfortunately the pressure was high again. This means that I now have to go for NST once a week and another u/s next week. The dr. doesn't think we have too much to worry about at this point because the baby's growth has not been effected and my fluid level is OK. He also told me that because of this they will not let me go past 39 weeks - IF I make it that far. I think my Nov. baby is going to be here in October instead! Other than that, things are pretty good - just the normal tiredness, aches and pains :-)
