Babies: 9 - 12 Months

I'm so irritated at myself

Dash has been on the Target brand sensitive formula for a few months. Does GREAT on it.

In an effort to save $3/week, I decided to wean him off of that and onto the regular Target formula.

Poor baby has been constipated for two days and fighting the bottle.

Switched back to the sensitive tonight ... and he ate like a champ.

But now, I have half a can of the regular formula that I can neither exchange nor sell nor use. So instead of saving money, I basically wasted $13 in an effort to be frugal.

gah.

  • Can you mix just a little with the sensitive and see if he notices?  Maybe you could use it thay way until it is gone.

that's what we were doing, but he was fighting it tooth and nail.

I put a piece of press n seal over it, closed the lid, wrapped it in tinfoil, and put it in the pantry. If it goes bad ... it goes bad. I don't know what else to do.

  • I've been thinking about switching to the Target brand sensitive as well.  Right now DD is on Similac Sensitive RS.  We tried Walmart's brand but she was horribly constipated that we switched right back.  My formula checks are running out and I'd really like to switch but I'm afraid of her reaction.  I don't want to mess with a good thing but I'd like to save some money.

He's done really well on the Target sensitive. It smells vile when old or spit up ... but so did the Similac.

Ours is $16 a can ... so a significant savings from the Sim. ... but I wanted to spend $13 ... grr.
