Babies: 9 - 12 Months

I can't catch up on my sleep.

I have been so freaking exhausted lately. I feel like a walking zombie. Last night I was in bed at 9:30 but then DD got up to eat at 12:30, 4:30 and up for the day at 7. We just took an hour nap and I am still yawning. What is up with me? The last couple of days I have been more tired than I was when she was first born.

Re: I can't catch up on my sleep.

  • I know what you mean. DH always offers to get up with K when she wakes up at 6, but I can never fall back asleep once she is awake. Im sure it has to do with the fact that I am still nursing. I feel like I havent slept in a year and a half cause I didnt sleep well when I was pregnant either!

  • I feel like that on some days. I think it's the broken sleep that messes us up. Sometimes I'll get a total of 9 hours sleep between nighttime and all the naps, but I'm still exhausted from not being able to go through the full sleep cycles that we need.
  • ditto.  shane has been sleeping about 10 hours straight at night and I'm still taking a nap when he does.

My DD does this as well and I was yawning all day today.

  • We have a cold and were up every hour- at least. And she stopped STTN July 11th- after only 3 weeks of doing it. So....basically....if you count my hospital bedrest....I haven't slept in 6 months. It's a wonder I have a career.?
