That is a foward facing only seat, so I wouldn't recommend it. You should rear-face until at least 1 AND 20lbs. However, the new recommendation is 2 years.

Yep, this. What is your budget? I'd be happy to recommend some seats that would work within your budget.

Ah thanks. I saw it in Target's ad and it said newborn and up. Obviously not if it's a forward facing seat. DD is around 20 lbs now and I'm trying to find something under $100. Preferably something sold in stores since her infant carseat only goes to 22 lbs.
We have the Evelflo Titan Elite and like it so far. It goes up to 50 lbs and we both have little cars and they fit in ours ok. It was right under $100.

Yeah, the way they advertise some seats kills me. For under $100, about the only seat I can think of is a Cosco Scenera. It's a good seat, decent height, around $50. However, it is pretty bare bones.
If you have 2 lbs left on your infant seat, I'd recommend this seat. It is a way better seat. Or if you have a BRU, and something to take in to trade-in and you can coupon stack. I'd look at the Triumph, Graco My Ride (around $150) or the First Years True Fit. The True Fit would be my #1 recommendation. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Most kids will outgrow the Titan by 2.5 years. You will end up needing another seat. It's not the weight limit you have to look at but the height. 99.9% (ok- guessing, but most kids) outgrown a seat by height rather than weight.

Target also advertises the Nautilus as a convertible which it is not. They need to get their facts straight.
Ditto what the pp said. I would watch for a BRU coupon and try and stack them. You could get a pretty good deal on a Triumph then (or another seat). The Cosco is a good seat though. Another Nestie had one and was in a pretty bad accident. Her DD made it without a scratch on her. It is bare bones but still a good seat.
If you're going for an under $100 seat, your best bet is to get a $40 cosco scenera and start saving for a bigger convertible. Avoid things that are slightly more expensive like the evenflo titan and graco comfortsport. They're actually smaller than the scenera, so you're basically wasting your money.
If you can spend a little more, the evenflo triumph advance and graco myride are good choices. You also may want to look at the safety first avenue. It's got a decently tall shell and top harness height, and is about $90 at kmart.
