Just curious. DD takes a bottle of whole milk when she wakes up and then one before bed, in total it is about 16-17 ounces. The guidelines vary so much by country.
DS still gets 3 - 8oz bottles a day, so 24oz total. He also drinks water through out the day but isn't a fan of juice at all.

MY DS is a milk fiend. Since we started whole milk, he's drinking a gallon every 5-6 days. Pedi told us he should be drinking 24 oz daily or 16-18 oz plus yogurt and cheese. He loves both of those as well.
none...she refuses milk...if I'm lucky I can sneak it into her cereal or oatmeal, otherwise she gets lots of cheese and other calcium-rich/-fortified foods.
well apparently I must have missed the memo about 18-20 oz per day. Our pedi never said anything about it I think DS drinks 25 oz per day, it's 5 - 5oz bottles.

I would talk to your pedi. The reason ours suggests limiting it to 18 oz is because cows milk absorbs iron and a lot of kids are ending up anemic because they are consuming too much cows milk.

That is really interesting I hadn't thought about that but should have as my midwife said something about it when I was pregnant. DD eats cheese and yogurt everyday but most of it is cow based. How is the iron from that absorbed?
My pedi recommends 12-18 oz. Right now Lily only drinks 6-8 (if that), but I still nurse her twice a day.
Pretty much this. She drinks eight ounces at bedtime, and I nurse her in the morning. I try to get her to drink more throughout the day, but if she doesn't, she just gets some yogurt or cheese.
She has taken up to almost 30ozs in one day but we had to kinda stop that as she wasn't eating enough solids. We cap it out at about 20-25 but lately she's finally eating more solids and stopping herself at around 20ozs.
My guess is around 18-20oz. He gets 14oz between his morning and bedtime bottles and then I offer sippies at lunch and dinner and he drinks about 1/2 his sippy at each meal.
