fit into older bases? Our infant carrier is 9 years old, got it from a friend's first. Was usable for DC#1 and DC #2 (4.5 now and 2.5 now) but was never happy that it is heavy, has only a 3 pt harness and is old. I'd like to upgrade for this baby but we can't really afford to get 3 new bases. Do graco infant carriers pretty much fit into each other as far as you know, or have you seen some not fit?
Thanks!
Julie
Re: Anyone know if newer Graco seats (snugride, etc)
Every part of the seat expires after 6 years, so no you can't use the old base.
However, you can buckle the seat straight into the car. I've done it a lot, and it is just as safe (if not safer since it has no base that it could detach from in an accident).
this!!
I think they should work.. all the graco bases i have seen look alike.. their also should be expiration dates on them anyways.. you could just buy the seat and try it and if they don't work then you could take it back if you didn't want that seat after you find out you can't use the bases.. but i think you can
