Indicator strip on diapers??

Up until now, I've been using newborn sized pampers swaddlers with the yellow/blue indicator strip on them.   Do all sizes have those indicators?

  • It depends on the package once you get over newborn size. A bumpie actually wrote Pampers and asked. Apparently they are starting to have the indicator line on bigger diapers, but not all the stores have the new boxes out yet and you can't tell by the outside of the box. It's kind of a lottery right now until those older boxes/packages are sold off.
  • This was the response I got:

I'm sorry for the confusion.  Sometimes we try new features on our diapers which result in different versions being on store shelves at the same time.  I understand your frustration since you're not able to tell which package has the style you prefer, and I'm sharing your feedback with the rest of our team.

The yellow indicator is a new addition some of the stores don't have their new shipment at this time.

    Thanks again for writing.

  • The packaging will actually show a wetness indicator if the diapers inside have it.  I went to Target and looked and some packages had it and other didn't.

  • I too e-mailed pampers about this since I wanted the jumbo boxes at BRU for the rewards. It's a new feature, and so if the box doesn't have it, it's because it's older stock.  And yes, you can tell from the outside if it has the strip.  In the "blankie soft" picture.  If it shows the indicator strip, the diapers inside have it.  If it is just "blankie soft" all white, no strip.

ETA: here's my response from pampers:

    Thank you for contacting Pampers.

The Pampers Swaddlers  have had the wetness indicator added to them only recently. Before that only the Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive had the indicator.  I apologize for any inconvenience. If you are not seeing the indicator on the larger boxes of Swaddlers, it is because those boxes are older stock.

I hope I have been helpful.

  • only sensitive ones have the strip. the regular 'new baby' ones do not but i found you dont need it since you can just squeeze the diaper and if its wet it is like jelly

My name is Pattie and I work in Pampers Consumer Care.  Glad to hear how many of you like the wetness indicator on Pampers Swaddlers.  All sizes of Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive have the indicator.  The Pampers Swaddlers New Baby have the wetness indicator on sizes Newborn, 1, and 1-2. This change started in the beginning of the year, so store shelves should be catching up soon.  I hope this helps.
