None of the locations here seem to have maternity, so I am looking to order online. I would usually wear an 8 or 10, are the maternity pants true to size?
I bought a pair of gap maternity jeans that were pretty true to size. They did stretch out a bit after wearing so if you're looking for jeans go with the 8
My best friend works at a gap a few hours from me and they have maternity so she has been picking things up for as she sees them. I am normally a 4 and the 2 pants she got me so far are a size 4...they fit perfect now and I love them, but i think i'm going to tell her to get me 6's from now on. The 4s fit perfect, but there is definatly not much room for growth so i'm worried in a few months they wont be so comfy.
I normally wear a 4 from the Gap so I got a size 4 and they fit pretty well. Don't know for how long as I grow, but at least they are capris so I wasn't planning on wearing them come December.
I agree with pp about possibly going up a size. I am normally a size 2 and the maternity size 2 fit perfectly, but I am scared I am going to get bigger, so I bought the 4 which still fit pretty well. I'm only 18 weeks, so I figure it's likely I'm going to need a size 4 at least by the time I give birth.
Go with the 8. I was also trying to decide between two sizes and I got the bigger one and it was too big. I had to return it and get the smaller size. But, now I love them!

I'm also an 8, but sometimes a 10. I got the size 8 and love them! and they are a tad roomy so I feel there is room to grow :-)
The work pants fit me true to size, but the jeans were huge. I have to go down a size for those. I got the under-the-belly ones, so that may be why. I went by the waist size (I don't usually buy Gap jeans, and my regular jeans are all by waist size) and it was way off. I think I need to buy new jeans because they're falling off when I walk!
I've had the opposite experience with Gap jeans. I typically wear a size 8 and I can wear a size 4. I bought a pair of size 6 as well to give me a little more room later in the pregnancy. I think they run big.
Get the 10-- they are pretty true to size but leave little room for growth. I am normally a 4 and ended up sending them back for size 6 pants. They are a little loose but better a tad loose than a tad tight. That is just not attractive for anyone...
