Finally after 8 months, I have convinced my DH that we need to do CDing! Too bad I couldn't convince him sooner and we could have saved more money and more space in the landfill! At least we are getting in on it with our first child...
We both work full-time and am looking for the easiest diaper to use. So if money was out of the question, what is your favorite diaper that is the easiest to use and clean?
After researching the internet it seems that the bumGenius diapers are the way to go, but I want more mom's opinions about these. Do you like the AIO one-size with the velcro closures, the organic AIO one-size with the velcro closures, or the organic AIO one-size with the snap closures?
TIA!!
Re: Favorite Cloth Diaper
i love AIO diapers.??they are the closest to disposables so my DH and daycare like them. ?i started out using BG AIO XS and BB AI2 XS. i prefer the 2.0 BG AIO to the 3.0 (ones with pocket) b/c we never stuff extra inserts in them. I like the BB, but find the velcro insanely difficult to get off the laundry tabs, but easy for DS to rip off when wearing. ?i have also noticed the inner fabric (?Fleecce??) shows wear very easily. i thought i had a bunch of stains, but it was actually where the fleecey parts had worn away. i also like Nana's Bottoms (on hyenacart). ?they are trim like the BG, bute colors, very absorbent and GREAT CS!!! ?my recommendation is to try a few different brands. ?i usually buy 2nds now b/c they are cheaper and never noticed any difference.
ETA: i haven't found THE nighttime diaper yet. i have a super soaker. i use B4 and GM at night with lots of inserts and heavily lanolized wool. ?
We mainly use pockets, but after stuffing them with the inserts (which doesn't take long at all), they are just as easy and convenient as the AIO. We have a variety of pockets, but the majority (and my favorites) are the BG 3.0.
We tried the BG AIO organic with the Jillian's Drawers trial, and I liked it, but preferred the pockets.
And DH and I both work full-time as well, and daycare doesn't CD. DS wears cloth part-time during the week, and full-time (well, except overnight) the 3 days he isn't at daycare. We wash 2, sometimes 3 times per week.
