Re: What to eat when you are expecting

  • A lot of it is stuff that is good to eat when TRYING too...so I'd browse through it if I were you for sure!

  • I haven't heard of it, but I wouldn't "waste" the money it.  I just look online at what I can't have and then eat everything else.

  • I agree with PP.  Also, there may come a time when you're so sick that only certain things stay down.  Then you eat them and worry about the rest later.  Take prenatal vitamins... start them now! =)

  • What to expect when you are expecting has good ideas for healthy eating- no need for a separate book.

  • I have it and like it.  It gives good ideas and recipes.  It also gives suggestions of what to eat when dealing with m/s.  It is much more detailed than What to Expect when you're expecting.

  • Save yourself the money and eat what you can!  There will come a time when you go grocery shopping and spend hours looking at things you used to love only to leave with saltines, and cry in your car afterward because you are so hungry!

  • It goes into a lot more detail than the "what to eat" section of What to Expect, and gives some good information.  I don't think it's a "must own" but maybe you can request it from your local library.  Right now it just makes me feel bad that I'm not eating all of the things I "should" be...
