I just got an email from the church nursery saying that Caleb "may have been exposed to roseola" on Sunday. So far he has not had any symptoms but the info I got said the incubation period is 5 to 15 days.
My question is: we had a playdate with a non-church kid on Tuesday. Should I alert the mom or do I wait and see if C actually comes down with it?
Oh and shoot... I have a baby at home. Do I have to keep them seperate?? I guess I have to call the pedi tomorrow. But in the meantime, do I alert our little friend's mom that he *may* have been exposed too??
Re: exposed to roseola - a question...
Mama Jan's Kitchen... a food blog
DD just had this two weeks ago. The child is typically most contagious before the fever occurs. DD had a high fever for two or three days and her appetite was off. Then she had a rash for about 3 days. They say once the rash occurs the child is no longer contagous but I kept dd home the whole week because I did not want her giving it to anyone else. But I also read somewhere that even if your cild is exposed to it that it can take up to 2 weeks for your child to show symptoms. Crazy huh?
