Yup, so I started having contractions about 3 days ago. I have been monitored everyday, had internals and just about every test imaginable and everything looks great. There is no reason I am having these contractions and the DR said that some ppl are chronic contractors and just have them until they deliver. OH GREAT, I get to be in false labor for 2 frickin months? LOL Its better than him coming this early, so I guess I cant complain. Im on bedrest til my OB appt Tues, when she will decide if I can go off of bedrest or not. It stinks because I REALLy want to pick up DS and give him a big kiss, but I cant lift him

Re: Im a "Chronic Contractor"
What a bummer. At least the baby is staying put.
My girlfriend had contractions from 24w on and started losing her mucus plug at 28w with her second child last year.
I had a couple hours of contractions. Painful contractions this morning. I never experienced this with my first son. It's scary to think about having a baby at six months. Plus I will have to have an emergency c-section if I go into labor. I'm just taking it easy, or as easy as I can with a three year old, and not worrying about it for now. I would like this guy to stay put so he can be healthy and I can have my regular scheduled c-section.
Ok I have a really dumb question...
How will you know when you're really in labour?
My doc told me to call him when they got closer together because mine have been every 12-15 minutes for a month now. They started at 15 and then went to 12 and I had to go to L&D to get a shot. So everytime they get closer I have to call him, but I'm 1.5 cm, so I don't know if it's different for other people.
The receptionists know me by name.
