Re: Anyone with Bells Palsy

  • I thought I was developing it last week because I had the facial nerve pain but it did not progress into bells palsy and for now went away. I have had it before though when not pregnant. Do you have any specific questions? What are your symptoms?

  • Yes---you would notice a droop on the ENTIRE one side of your face;  you won't be able to close your eye or lift your eyebrow on the affected side.  It can occur in pregnant women as your immune system is low.  Most of the time, it will clear on it's own but definately contact your doctor immediately if you notice any progression of your symptoms.

  • i developed it 4 days after my babys birth.  Dr gave me steroids for 9 days.   it is making very slow progress in moving again.  Going to physiotherapy next week to hopefully make my face move faster.  It is very frustrating.  when they diagnosed mine they rubbed sugar on both sides of my tongue... i couldnt taste it on one side
