  I would say a minimum of 50 dollars.

  We had our LO baptized and we didnt give any monetary gift/donation. I actually never heard of someone doing so.

  Our baptismal class gave us a folder with information in it, including a FAQ.  On the FAQ it said that nothing is required, since it is a sacrament, however, a monetary gift to the priest (of an amount equal to what you would spend on a nice dinner out) would be appreciated.  Then if the priest wants to pass it directly into the church's funds, he can.  We had our twins baptized a few weeks ago and gave the priest $60 (we figured a nice dinner out could run $30, times two babies).  We also invited him out to dinner with our families after the baptism.
  

  After 20 months TTC with PCOS, we were blessed with twins!
  They arrived at 36 weeks after PTL and bedrest for 14 weeks.
