fav (CDing) diaper bag features?

I'm pretty sure I need to upgrade our diaper bag before #2 comes. DS will likely still be in diapers at least part time, so I need more space if I'm going to carry diapers (and stuff) for 2.

Favorite features? How many pockets must you have? Key loop? Toy ring? What other things should I look for (or design into a bag to sew, haven't decided yet...)?

  • Aww, I need a bigger diaper bag too. Only have one baby, but my bag is SOO small! And no fancy pockets or compartments since it's not actually a diaper bag... got it at goodwill for $2 though so no money lost if I get a new one!

  • Different compartments are key.  I pph a small bag that I use for quick trips more than my huge diaper bag because it has more small pockets, so I can find things easier. It's not even meant to be a diaper bag, but it works so well because it has 3 main compartments, 2 side pockets and 2 front pockets.  In addition, it has a few different pockets/areas in the main part of the bag which is great for holding some wipes, snappi, nuk, etc.

  • Yeah really! I'm still wondering how I'll juggle two kids, let alone the stuff. And honestly, I've always thought that I don't travel with much (a few small toys, a pacifier, diapers, maybe a change of clothing). Maybe this is why people freak out about 2 under 2?Stick out tongue

I like the idea of the different compartments- at least 2, one for DS and one for baby.... maybe I can color code them to make it easier to tell which side is which (and help DH keep track).

  • I just got the Fleurville "Mothership" bag, and I think I'm in love! It's PERFECT! It can fit a ton of nice, fluffy minky Blueberry diapers, an infant windbreaker, bottle, sippy cup, snacks, toys and a reusable placemat. It has two side pockets, so I can store and organize my stuff without having to rifle through the inside of the bag. It comes with a pouch and changing pad, wipes case and waterbottle holder, and my favorite featuer = the key clip. FINALLY a way to keep me from losing my keys in the bottom of the bag!

I love Fleurville bags, made with their EF GreenLam fabric. Worth checking out!

It's fantastic. And I think they have the pink one in their "seconds" catagory for insanely reasonable, $35 or something?
