Hi Everyone,
My husband and I just started the process of trying to have a baby. Therefore, I went off my birth control on August the 10th and had two periods in a month due to that. A couple of days ago I started spotting (which would be a couple of days after ovulation). I am just wondering if anyone else had this same type of experience? and if so, did you still get pregnant when spotting did occur?
I am feeling like it might be my body balancing back out by going off birth control. I had been on it for about 8 years straight before this so not sure if that might have something to do with it. Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Spotting!
My OB had said, when we mentioned trying for a baby, that it usually takes 3-4 cycles to go through "as normal" before your uterus is ready for pregnancy. Of course, every woman is different, but usually you don't have implantation until about 6-7 days after ovulation... So if it has been that long, maybe try a pregnancy test in 2 1/2 weeks or so. (Of course, if your period doesn't come again by then.)
I think I agree with you, though, that it is just your body balancing itself back out.
Good luck!
my read shelf:
It took my body about 6 months to get back to normal after going off BC.
That said... I did have spotting which I thought was my period coming for 2 days and got my BFP that cycle.
I had implantation spotting that I thought was the beginning of my period before I found out I was pregnant. When my period didn't ever come and the spotting stopped, I took a pregnancy test (prob 7-10 days later).
Edit: This was ~6 months after I had stopped taking BC, but we weren't "really" trying to get pregnant.
