  We put vaseline and a hat on when ds was sleeping but it wasn't that bad. It did clear it right up though.

  Our pedi had us buy 1/2% cordisone cream and it cleared up immediately.

  We used baby oil, soaked his head with baby oil, which kinda stunk because he had  a full head of hair, haha.  i just spiked it for a few days while it was still oily, but it helped.

  Hydrocortisone cream, Vanicream, or olive oil have worked for us.  I have an itchy kid.

  We used a cradle cap hair shampoo made by Disney (blue-green bottle from Target). It smells bad but within a few days the cradle cap was gone and never came back.
