A sorta FFFC and a vent

Disclaimer:This is in no way meant to offend anyone PG with multiples or who has multiples.

SIL is pg with twins and ALL she does is whine about how stressed she is and how much it is going to cost her bying 2 of everything (FYI- her and her DH are well off and have a grandparent who gives them $12,000 + a year. But I digress....) Her shower was a few weeks ago and she got A LOT of stuff, not to mention MIL bought all their nursery furniture and went with me to BRUs and spent another $1,000.

Isn't it just as difficult (if not more so) if you have a 2nd LO close to your first?? IMHO, no one will be buying us anything we might need (i.e. crib, bedding-first LO has a convertable crib, so she will keep that, double stroller, etc. So, while she had all that bought for her, those who have LO's close together need to buy for themselves these additional things.

I am just so done with her and her constant biitching about it.

    If I were having twins, I would be stressed.  I would be concerned about the extra expenses.  Even though we are better off financially than many others, it would still be stressful.  BUT - I wouldn't biitch to people about it.  Seems to me she's just the type who likes to biitch.  And would probably be biitching about the expense of one baby too.

    But I would cut her some slack.  The thought of having twins could be pretty overwhelming.

    Do you like your sil? I find myself becoming annoyed with a lot of stuff my sil's do bc they are just aggravating and selfish with everything. So I'm sure I'd be the same way. It sounds like she isn't a very grateful person (many ppl would be thrilled to be able to get preg let alone w twins) I would prob be a bit stressed financially if I were preg w twins but I would not biitch to everyone about it. I understand what you mean with having 2 kids close in age bc you would have to buy the same amount of stuff just not all at once.

    GL I know how sil's can be.
