Babies: 9 - 12 Months

help me work out the logisitics of this

It's stressing me out.

I went back to work this week, which was great. K's home with grandma and all is well.

Next week (Wednesday-Friday), we take our students on a camping trip. It's exactly how you're imagining it...tents, latrines, and an all day canoe trip.  I'm freaking out about how I'm going to pump (esp. on the canoe trip) and that my supply is going to tank. Any advice?

"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies. God damn it, you've got to be kind." - Kurt Vonnegut

Re: help me work out the logisitics of this

  • First of all. God bless you and your sanity for taking students on a camping trip.

Did your pump come with a battery run back up?  If not, I believe most brand name pumps have these to purchase.

  • Loading the player...
  • I would get a manual pump so that you can whip it out in the canoe if necessary! Make sure the other teachers know how often you have to pump so they can help you out, too.
  • ooooo. that's a tough one. i'm assuming you have a manual pump you're bringing along?
  • I have the Ameda pump and it takes batteries (thank god since the room I pump in at work has no outlets).

    Good luck!
