Saying hello (and a question)

Hi, ladies!

I had my baby on Monday - it was rough, but I wouldn't change it because she is so perfect!! :)

So I just wanted to say hi.

Also, anyone who had stitches, what aside from oral medication can you reccomend to me for the pain? Has anyone used Tucks pads? Should I just use an ice pack like at the hospital? 

Mine are hurting a lot today, I am really hoping I didn't do something to mess with them...

    The ice pack seem to help me the most.  I also used a spray called Dermoplast.  It is a spray pain relieve that you just spray on the location.  You can get it at any pharmacy. GL

    Get your doctor to get you "EpiFoam."  Works much better than Dermaplast.

    Tucks work too!

    I used tucks and dermoplast. They put the tucks on the pads in the hospital and I did at home too. Keep on top of your meds, it really helps.

    I soaked pads in witch hazel and put them in the freezer (basically homemade tucks pads), and it worked great!

    I never took pain meds, only had a couple of stitches. Ice packs were awesome!

    I put the tucks on top of the ice packs and sprayed with Dermoplast.  I also had an inflatable doughnut I sat on for support when sitting on hard surfaces.  I also would double up on pads for support.

    I didn't take pain meds, but the frozen soaked pads were great. I also recommend using the sitz bath a couple times a day.
