NBR: Can you imagine being...?

A constipated dog? my poor furbaby hasn't been able to poop in 2 days, I feel so bad for her, but I don't know what to give her, she isn't dehydrated and she has been eating fine, she just goes out to do her business, does her little squat thing and nothing comes out. She does this for about 5-10 minutes at a time and then just comes back in and looks sad. I know how much is sucks when I get stopped up, but at least I can take things to make it easier.

BTW she is just constipated, its not a blockage.

Do you have any natural remedies to get her to go?

Mine didn't go for 4 whole days! He was really ill and the doctor gave him a shot on Friday to stop the vomiting, so we just waited and waited and waited after that for him to finally poop. I thought it was going to be a big event when he finally did, but it was your average run of the mill poop.

I'd give the vet a call and ask for some advice... GL!

Give her canned pumpkin . . works great for dogs and they dont mind eating it.

We had to give my dog really high fiber bread with a smidge of peanut butter on it when she ate rocks (a whole 'nother story...). It worked great though--got everything moving along!

We already talked to the vet, thats how we knew it wasn't a blockage, they said they couldn't do anything for her, she just needed to feel the urge! Well my darling doggy feels the urge and nothing comes! :-( dumb vets!
