I have long hair that I just throw up in a ponytail or clip most days. With 2 kids and one on the way I NEVER have time to actually "do" my hair. I am getting it cut next week and want to get it cut short. I've heard that short hair is easier but I'm so scared. I have very thick wavy hair. WDYT? Should I keep it long so I can throw it up and go or should I try to go short????
Re: Hairstyle Question...
~ Miscarry at 8 weeks with D&C in May 2011 (low progesterone).
~ Had a healthy baby girl in June 2012 via C-Section (on prometrium to sustain).
~ Surprise pregnancy at age 40! Baby boy due April 26, 2021 (took prometrium to sustain once pregnancy was confirmed, 3rd C-Section planned).
I have thick wavy hair and found short hair to be more work than long.
The other advice of making sure you can still pull it back is bang on.
this. Everytime I cut my hair I pray for the pony tail again.
I got brave and cut all mine off last year... pixie cut short, like alyssa milano short. I have thick, wavy hair like you and I love it. My hair dresser can thin it out and my whole routine takes no more than 10 minutes. So easy.
I have to admit though, a bob or shoulder length (too short for ponytail) was always frustrating me, especially cause I had to take the time to straighten it.
Good luck. Be brave. It's just hair... it grows back.
Thanks for the great advice! I will NOT be cutting my hair short now. Probably just a trim and some layers to give it some kinda style because it's so BLAH. My hair is terrible and have to do something.
